- Pat the salmon portions dry with paper towels. This helps to get a nice crust on the salmon.
- Mix olive oil, lemon juice, black pepper, salt, and garlic powder in a small bowl. Brush this mixture over both sides of the salmon portions. Then, sprinkle the lemon zest evenly on top of the salmon.
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F for about 3 minutes.
- Place the portions skin down on an oiled air fryer basket. Make sure they do not overlap even when cooking. Air fry for about 8-10 minutes, depending on the thickness of your portions. The salmon is done when it easily flakes with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F.
- Once done, carefully remove the salmon from the air fryer. Garnish with fresh dill or parsley; if desired, serve with extra lemon wedges for squeezing over the top.
